On Sunday, after Place des Vosges, we walked to Notre Dame. Jared got lots of great pictures of the flying buttresses and we enjoyed seeing all the beautiful stained glass windows. Then we walked across Pont St-Louis to Ile St-Louis, where we browsed the shops and had delicious gelato (cherry and lemon for Jared and chocolate and tiramisu for me). After that, we walked along the booksellers...

Paris Next Week!
My wife and I are getting really excited for our anniversary trip to Paris and London next week. We are taking a British Airways flight on Friday night to London, and then immediately taking the train through the Chunnel to Paris on Saturday afternoon. We will spend six nights in Paris before heading back to London for two nights. It should be a great time together!
One of places I am really...

Rain Go Away....
Looking out the rain, I’m just hoping that it doesn’t rain next week, when I have to manage the deployment of over 400 hundred computers. I really hope that it gets dry by Monday. listen Powered by Jott

Guilty Until Proven Innocent
A student’s university ID card was found near my office today, and I figured I would be the kind soul to turn it in to the university police department. I walked it out of my way to the police headquarters, and to my disbelief, the dispatch woman treated me as if I had witnessed something suspicious. She made me provide my ID card and a campus phone number to prove that I was a member of the...

Thomas Friedman is back →
Thomas Friedman wrote about energy policy in his New York Times column on Thursday. Actually, he explained how both the McCain and Clinton camps have united on the ridiculous idea of suspending the federal excise tax on gasoline over the summer travel period of 2008. God forbid Americans are forced to reevaluate their choices for vehicles and their driving habits. Friedman says that this is not...

SeatGuru →
I am currently in the beginning stages of planning a trip to Europe this fall. I found this great tool called SeatGuru by TripAdvisor. This site allows you to choose your airline and airplane type, and then it returns seating recommendations, a list of ammenities on the plane, and general policies associate with the certain airline. This tool will be helpful when I finally buy my plane tickets.
